Westnet today added Australian iTunes Store content, Xbox Live and ABC iView to its unmetered freezone. iiNet (Westnet’s owner) was previously the only ISP to offer iTunes/Xbox/iView content quota-free. Recently it was announced that other ISPs including iPrimus and Internode would make it available in their respective freezones. However, iiNet and Westnet remain the only two ISPs to offer unmetered iTunes downloads in Australia. The content is available from today. iTunes Podcasts are metered. Xbox live gaming is not included, downloading quota-free is limited mostly to game updates and demos. Also note that some Westnet plans are excluded from unmetered content, check Westnet’s site for details. – r.
